Trainee, Application engineer
Are you interested to join a cutting-edge company and collaborate with an innovative team? You will be part of global and customer focused EMEIA BU organization working with multi-disciplinary teams in customer experience. We are working for all our business areas including medical, industrial and security.
Your role and responsibilities
You will perform hands-on application tests and studies using our DT X-ray cameras in our Customer Experience Center. In addition, you will work in customer support as part of our professional team, helping to strengthen our software debugging capabilities. You will support DT in understanding customer (CT) system level integration challenges, particularly in the software domain. You will also carry out research and studies in selected application areas and related technologies.
During your trainee period you will be bringing up solutions and conducting feasibility study as well. You will be working under our application engineers and product management guidance.
What we expect, Qualifications
You
are 1st or 2nd year University master graduate student or above from relevant technology field (engineering or natural sciences) or similar
are Proactive, curious, and eager to learn from experienced application engineers and product managers
have capability to understand embedded firmware and software structure and functions. Familiarity with software debugging, basic programming, or scripting (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB) is an advantage
have an understanding of some camera technology and machine vision, e.g. GigE Vision
have Interest and ability to learn customer system integration and configuration support; prior understanding is considered a plus but not required
are enthusiastic about technology and applications
are excellent team player and have good interpersonal skills for working with customers and internal teams
have a customer driven approach, competence and working methods
have an understanding in X-Ray imaging industry and/or basics of product management (not mandatory, are seen as a plus)
have excellent communication skills as well as fluent English language skills
Location
This position is based in Oulu, Finland, with close collaboration with our global teams. You will be reporting to the Director, Customer Services for EMEIA&Americas.
