We are looking for a skilled professional to join our global team in Beijing. We have an immediate opening for

Sourcing Manager

Your main responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategy and maintain supplier relationships.
• Supplier Contract Ownership responsibilities for defined category and key suppliers.
  • Make RFI/RFQs, negotiate and agree prices and other conditions.
  • Pro-actively search for cost reduction opportunities with the suppliers.
  • Create and negotiate supplier agreements and keep those up to date.
  • Facilitate regular management meetings with key suppliers and make minutes of the meetings.
  • Closely work and support purchasing / Buyers in escalations to ensure continuation of deliveries.
• Lead and execute Sourcing projects related to mechanics, cables, glues and other services.
• Screen, benchmark and pre-qualify suppliers, execute Supplier Selection Process for new suppliers.
• Closely work with R&D and Engineering to ensure cost effective supply chains for new products.
• Category supplier market trend analyzes and review.
• Category cost reduction idea creation and drive the implementation of those.
• Participating supplier auditing and qualification.
• Develop processes and tools used for efficient and systematic sourcing and purchasing activities together with other functions and teams.
• Flexible of job scope adjustment due to business change and/or resource constraints of the company.
• Other tasks assigned by superior.

We expect you to have

• More than 5 years of relevant industry strategic sourcing experience in international environment and preferably experience from western companies.
• Good negotiation skills, proven experience of successful contract and price negotiations, and managing supplier relationship in long term.
• Cross-functional team working experience and good co-operation skills.
• Ability to work independently in structured and systematic way, and lead projects.
• Flexibility and wish for undertaking responsibility.
• Fluent in written and spoken English language.
• Relevant university or corresponding degree (MSc / BSc).
• Multicultural communication concepts and wide technological knowledge of semiconductor, electronics or electro mechanics industry and processes.
• Willing to travel and meeting supplier companies.

Location

This position is based either in Beijing, with close collaboration with our global teams. You will be reporting to the Director, Sourcing & Supply Chain.
