We are looking for a skilled professional to join our global team in Wuxi, China. We have an immediate opening for:
GOS Engineer
Job Summary: As a GOS Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting GOS processes and equipment, experimenting with new processes, equipment, raw materials, and accessories, executing GOS new product introduction projects, and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports. You will write standard documents, train technicians, propose and execute cost-saving and engineering improvement projects, and collaborate with all relevant colleagues. Your work will directly impact our high-quality, cost-competitive in-house GOS products and capacity.
Your Role
- Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear vision for software and algorithm solutions for our products. Create a roadmap aligned with company goals, market needs, and customer expectations.
- Lifecycle Management: Lead platform development from concept to product application.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison among end-users, product managers, and R&D teams. Facilitate technical discussions and ensure business requirements are effectively translated into development objectives.
- User Experience: Advocate for user-centric design and usability. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance user interaction with our products.
- Agile Leadership: Define user stories and manage the product backlog. Guide the development process through agile methodologies, promoting simplicity and value creation.
Expected Value of Short- and Long-term Goals
- 1-6 months: Get familiar with the company (key persons, processes, products), markets, and applications. Take control of the “backlog” and start active ownership of ongoing projects.
- 6-12 months: Plan the next phases and align priorities of ongoing projects. Develop and share competence in software and algorithms for the company’s specific applications.
- 12-24 months: Steer the roadmap definition and contribute to the company strategy. Initiate new projects and lead execution towards technical and commercial success.
Location
This position is based in Wuxi, China, with close collaboration with our global teams. You will report to the GOS Manager.
